Providing a pure, unmitigated natural skin saviour, The Ordinary’s 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil is brimming with vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, which are known to hydrate and promote a smooth, even complexion. To ensure that no one of these is compromised, this formulation is cold-pressed, as any extraction process involving heat causes it to degrade. Rose hip seed oil’s rich quantity of linoleic (omega 6), linolenic (omega 3) acids and pro-vitamin A allow it to target signs of photo-ageing – premature ageing of caused by repeated exposure to ultraviolet radiation. It is also known to correct dark spots, hydrate dry, itchy skin and even reduce scars and fine lines by encouraging cellular regeneration. The Ordinary’s formulation is completely unrefined, leaving it with a natural scent, which is a testament to its purity not (as it may be mistaken for) its rancidity.

This formulation uses 100% pure Rosehip Seed Oil that is both cold-pressed and organic. Rosehip Seed Oil is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid and pro-vitamin A, all of which degrade when the oil extraction process involves heat. While cold-pressed extraction is complex, it preserves all of the quality of this important oil which supports healthy skin and can help reduce signs of photo-aging.

Our Rose Hip Seed Oil is completely unrefined and imparts a natural scent partly due to its high omega fatty acid content. This scent is not an indication of rancidity. Rose Hip Seed Oil that does not have a scent is refined and offers reduced benefits.
Patch tests are an easy way to help predict if you may experience a negative initial reaction to a new product. It is recommended to perform a patch test before incorporating any new product into your regimen. We have outlined a general method for conducting your own patch test below based on the type of product.
- Apply a small amount of the product onto a clean area of skin on the upper forearm.
- Keep the area dry.
- If the product has a specified duration of use, rinse off after this time has elapsed. Otherwise rinse off after 24 hours.
- If any redness, burning, itching, blistering or irritation is observed at any time throughout the test, do not use the product.

Follow the skin care 5-Step Regimen
Step 1: Cleanse - Wash your face with a gentle Cleanser/Facewash accordingly to your skin type.
Step 2: Tone - Toner helps to calmed and balanced skin pH after cleansing.
Step 3: Treat - The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
Apply once a day to the face, ideally at bedtime after application of water-based treatments. If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.
Step 4: Moisturize - Moisturizer/Day & Night Cream maintain your skin’s moisture barrier and to prevent environmental damage to your skin
Step 5: Sun Care - Apply Sunscreen to protect skin from UV Ray (Day time only)
